finals week schedule
first day—
12-3: go to amanda’s house, raid kitchen, do absolutely nothing.
3-5: go home, waste time, play fire emblem.
5-10: nap. well, “nap.”
10-12: dinner? panic about studying. open japanese website.
12-???: studying. well, “studying.”
chiseled and super sexy
...wondering how all of these fugly composers got syphilis.
Carlos: Franz Liszt wasn't fugly, he was chiseled and super sexy for his time. And not all of them got syphilis. syphilis was a common diagnosis of the time period when doctors could not figure out what was actually wrong with the person. People dieing of the flu were even diagnosed with syphilis, leading the syphilis death count to be widely skewed. But Schubert was gay.
Daniel: I took music lit. EVERY single classical and Romantic composer was either gay, had syphilis, or was a Nazi. Pick one of those three, and you got a good chance of being right.
Carlos: You have a 33% chance, which isn't that good. And there were not that many Nazi composers.
Shorts: wagner was a nazi! and tchaikovsky was gay (he actually questioned if he was or not) and listz was good looking for his time until he got old.
Daniel: Yo shorts just said a dead composer was good looking! Strauss was a mega Nazi too. And tchaikovsky as obviously gay (Nutcracker??)
Carlos: Strauss wasn't a mega-Nazi, he just didn't like jews. And there were way more than 5 romantic composers.
Shorts: there was of course rossini who basicly wrote operas and retired early in his life and died of been obese. and chopin who only composed piano music and debussy who was the transition between romantism and 20th century called impressionism

something about my impending narcolepsy, the mysterious swelling of my cheeks (as if they need to be more red/bigger wtf), and the 3 cans of pepsi on my table (which is so cluttered that my laptop is on my lap and my textbooks/homework are on my bed) tells me that i need to start taking better care of myself. it would suck to take youth and a kickass immune system for granted.
